Cairngorm 2.2.1 Released
After a few months of being in beta, Cairngorm 2.2.1 for Flex has been released on Adobe Labs.
There is nothing new in this release over previous releases; it's only purpose is to align Cairngorm with the moving of SWC libraries in Flex 2.0.1 with Hotfix 2 and LiveCycle Data Services 2.5.x.

Alistair,
at MAX it seems that Adobe consulting had a new version of cairngorm for LCDS integration. Will we see it anytime soon?

Hi Joao,
What Peter Martin presented at Max are some things we're trying when using the Data Management Services of LCDS with Cairngorm, specifically regarding the model and controller.
Peter tried to make it clear at the start of his talk that these are things we're trying out internally and that we never make changes to Cairngorm until we've proven them in a number of our own engagements.
So, the existing patterns in Cairngorm are remaining and there will be no radical changes to Cairngorm any time soon and there is no guarantee that any of that thinking will make it into the framework.

Will this version work with Flex 3 and where can I find an example application using v2.2.1? Where can I find the updated Microarchitecture diagram as I giving an overview at my user group on Monday?

Hi Chris,
Yes, Cairngorm 2.2.1 works with Flex 3 - it's no different from any Flex 2 example - there's nothing new in there for Flex 3.
On the diagram, I presume you're referring to the one created by the community at cairngormdocs.org? Again, nothing has changed in the latest release to require any changes to the diagram.
