We're off to Tokyo!

The Flash team leaves for Tokyo this weekend. We'll be visiting with a dozen customers over the next two weeks, showing them what we're working on for the next release of Flash, code-named "8Ball". We also hope to get a better understanding of the mobile content market - as Flash Lite is very heavily used in the Japanese market by service providers like NTT DoCoMo.

We're all really looking forward to our trip and are very eager to learn more about the Japanese market. We also look forward to meeting with some of the brilliant Japanese Flash designers and developers like Yugop, who has always impressed me.

Mike C and I will try to make a few posts during our trip. The team's schedule is really full, but we always make time to share our experiences with all of you.

If you have any suggestions on sites to see or things to do during our trip, please don't hesistate to post them.

great you´re having such sessions with flash developers :) .
shameless self pimping: what about having one with a few flash game developers,too?(i´m ready and waiting =) ).
I think game development will get even more interesting with the next flash version,especially if a few of my wishes are added ;)
Games are also a good indicator for the power of a technology as many games are all about performance and at the same time a pleasure to look at (good for marketing,not only having fun with em =) )
By the way: a big pile of congrats on flash 7.2: Not only is it a charm to work with mx 2004 now (not all issues fixed as you said,but finally good enough to work on large scale projects again) but besides that i strongly appreciate your open and honest statements not trying to lie about faults like other companies do but instead listen to your customer base and work on fixes and additions your user base wants.
I´m sure that´ll give you big kudos from thousands (next to from me =) ).

first all: thanx for working on Flash; love it.
second: don't know if this is feasible, but is it possible to automate some HTML details for export? Like filling in some meta-tags, easy centering of the SWF, a browser-test-function under the "file"-menu, back- and forward-buttons that work better than the named anchors? Just some ideas....
