Titanic robot sensors
Titanic robot sensors: New breed of submersible robot is developed to film interior of the RMS Titanic, deep in the North Atlantic, to get shots not obtainable through the 1995 submersible technology. These aren't wireless... they transmit optical signals through 2000 feet of cable as thick as a fishing line. Noteworthy "new" things learned include a telegraph hack which may have saved 600 after the tragedy. Each high-profile job which pushes telepresence like this increases the future for all telepresence.
