FlashRTL project
FlashRTL project: Many writing systems flow from left to right, but some flow vertically, some flow right to left, and some combine systems. (See W3C FAQ on script direction & languages.) Pedram Pourhossein and Farid Arzpeyma have released a set of ActionScript classes to reverse the letter-order of a block of text for you. I'm not sure how LTR numerals within an RTL text block are handled, or tables, ligatures and the other things that we all hope will eventually be in within the core engine(s) itself... looks like it can definitely automate part of the workload though, and I appreciate the contribution they've made with this project.

John - I've checked it out and it works for some text, but not for text that contains multiple blocks of RTL and LTR text, parenthesis, numerals, etc. It's a great start, but not perfect..
I've reported the issues I saw and heard back that FlashRTL is still in beta and they'll hopefully work these issues out. I'm crossing my fingers and toes that they get it working before I have another batch of Arabic SWFs to produce. ;)
Also check out Flaraby: http://www.beemode.com
It seems that a good number of folks are working on RTL solutions..
