Click-to-activate and text-to-speech: Andrew Kirkpatrick notes changes in Microsoft Internet Explorer and Freedom Scientific's JAWS text-to-speech screenreader software. He recommends writing the HTML's OBJECT/EMBED tags from an external JavaScript file, as has already been done by advertisers, web-standards advocates, and those seeking to avoid "click to activate" changes recently introduced to Microsoft Internet Explorer.
