Network neutrality

Network neutrality: I suspect those two words are code for some unnamed (and perhaps shifting) legislation, but this AP story shows clearly how people in some regions are prohibited from building their own networks. Instead of more legislative restrictions (which tend to favor incumbents), I'd rather remove barriers to new construction. "AMSTERDAM, Netherlands (AP) -- The European Commission on Wednesday banned a small Dutch town from building its own fiber-optic network, saying the plan would be unfair to broadband companies - a decision with potentially far-reaching consequences." (That's my own thinking; I don't know that Adobe has a public position on that phrase.)

JD,

That type of activity has also occured here in the U.S. The "Big" provider players here have tried similar actions such as bill(HR2726) that was introduced back in 2005 that would stop Community Internet and municipal broadband projects
