"Bunny Suicides" theft?

"Bunny Suicides" theft? Last year I linked to some funny web cartoons of bunnies offing themselves in creative ways, only to learn that these were stolen from the work of a print author. But check out this collection of "Bunny Suicide" artwork in a Chinese website -- the bunny is drawn differently, and there are clear cultural referents in addition to the text -- looks like original content, using the same theme Andy Riley developed. Homage? Something else? Hard question, I don't know the answer. [via Bingfeng Chaguan]

Yeah, it's clearly adopted from Andy Riley, but with Chinese political commentary.
