Actimagine deal
Actimagine deal: I'm sorry I don't have more information on today's news... I imagine it piqued the imagination of many, but the material in the public record is the only solid material I have, too. Ryan Stewart's thoughts are similar to my own inital reaction, and you can trace the thoughts of the FlashLite mailing list over time as well. One thing I can tell you is that I see solid commitment within Adobe to bring pocket devices inside the mainstream of development work... print, video, desktop, Web, and mobile should all be accessible to people who have a message to convey, an ability to offer. There's a lot of world-class talent here, working to bring that future about. But that's as much as I've got on the Actimagine deal right now.

We did some prospection for a subsidiary of actimagine called mobitween http://www.mobetween.com they developed a mobiclib player that flash designers/developers could eaisly export to using as5. This was a kind of flash player replacement (mobiclip) that mobile useres could download once, and then have access to other games and small apps that used the runtime. For the record they were extremely considerate and offered a host of dev tools for flashers wanting to explore the mobile space.
