Adobe venture fund info
Adobe venture fund info: At MAX Adobe announced it would be doing $100 million in venture funding of projects which enrich the Adobe Engagement Platform. The immediate question was, of course and en masse, "How can I get some of that!?" I don't have info yet -- the venture fund team here hasn't historically had a public interface on the website, and usually handles things by private conversation, so there's no WWW FAQ or anything yet. But David Mendels has some context here, on Yakov Fain's blog, which can help set expectations... he notes that such funding is traditionally for groups with established business plans, rather than pure startups. David adds a little more early context at Ryan Stewart's blog. From what I recall, this is a multi-year funding effort... no rush, no worry, it's a long-term initiative. If you've got a good solid idea, and a sustainable team and backing to pull it off, then Adobe Ventures might be able to provide the extra push to go bigtime. That seems to be the angle to pursue: make it a viable business plan first. I'll add more links in comments to this entry as they arise, but for right now, David's context is the most useful material I've seen.

Perhaps iScrybe.com is a candidate? They are getting a lot of buzz for their calendar system that was written in Flex - so the initial reviews say.
