MS re-org

MS re-org: This link goes to a CNET story about Microsoft getting out of the online music store biz... the Sept04 press release doesn't mention the project targeted at the existing audience of Apple's iTunes Music store, but that's what many pundits believed it was. When combined with this week's MS/Novell Linux news, closing of MS Max, and some of the other stuff in press, I'm guessing that they may be starting to implement some of the secondary course-corrections from the key Vista slip of last March. (By the way, it looks like I was right in my March predictions of cheap hardware this December.) Amazon's got their revamped HTML editor still listed as live, although I haven't heard much lately of Sparkle. The range of news about shifting priorities seems like a re-set of the company, now that much of the 1.0 Vista work has been completed.
