Macromedia support transition?

Macromedia support transition? Soapbox item here, seeking your comments... Brian Watson of Baseline Magazine has a complimentary article on theme "Keeping Macromedia's legacy alive paid off for Adobe Systems". Key lines include "Adobe and Macromedia have passionate [user] communities. And we have passionate people. At the end of the day, the passion brings credibility." The main audience for this article seems to be the financial community. But I'm opening up this blog item for any comments you may have today on Support sticking-points, things we could improve further... me, I can't wait for the day the weblog system gets consolidated and updated, but that's a new feature, not a deterioration of a prior feature. After reading that article, what do you think people inside Adobe should know in response? Confirm, deny, clarify? Thanks for any items! (And yup, I can handle flameage without crying, no worries. ;-)
