Apollo dynamics

Apollo dynamics: I'm still reading all the recent Apollo commentary, but want to highlight this essay from Derrick Grigg right now -- he considers some of the ways that this delivery channel changes development dynamics. There are advantages in having a permanent footprint on the clientside machine, but this means that you're not constantly updating the logic, as you might when the application is requested from the server each time you visit the page. The ability to work offline carries responsibilities -- apps and interfaces need provide suitable prompts and data strategies. Support also needs to be considered when delivering standalones -- the schedule for addressing customer problems is different when delivering a package than when visiting pages. Good, practical questions here.
