CS3 vs Space Monkey
CS3 vs Space Monkey: Kenny Hyder presents "10 Reasons Adobe Space Monkey Will Replace CS3". I'd argue that the opposite will occur... Creative Suite 3 is clearly contains a vast superset of functionality relative to the funkily-named "Space Monkey", and further, was explicitly designed to both replace the latter as well as render it obsolete. If even the mighty Monkey Boy did not replace Big Electric Cat, then what chance might a mere Space Monkey have...? (Yes, this is a joke link, but there's background info here and here.) [via Digg]

Ehh... I don't quite get it: how exactly would a beta of PS9 "replace" PS10? And why would it be free?
Anyway, I always thought that Fireworks 1.0 was codenamed "Monkey Punch," with (presumably) PS being the monkey.

No, Fireworks 1.0 was "Monkeyboy", for two reasons:
(1) we wanted a codename that was so stupid that there was no chance that anyone would adopt it as the real product name, and
(2) we thought it would be pretty funny to hear Rob Burgess using the term "Monkeyboy" in public.
The source, of course, was the classic movie "Buckaroo Banzai Across The 8th Dimension", in which the evil Lectroids from Planet Ten refer to all humans as "monkey boys"...
