Dvorak's bust
Dvorak's bust: At PCMag, John Dvorak cites CD-ROM and dot.com as predicting Web20 today. He's linkbaiting, of course, but the view is still shallow. At each wave of fast growth, the crowd expects it to be a linear curve, rather than an S-curve. As a result, lots of people don't have their expectations met. But lots of people thrive, too. The key seems to be whether you think it through for yourself and find that your scene makes sense. Relying on "because everyone says so" is what got this guy in trouble.... ;-)
