Ad exploit

Ad exploit: I was alarmed when I read that a SWF file was used to deliver a malware payload, but then learned that it was actually an unpatched browser which held the vulnerability (Microsoft Data Access Components). I don't know how many people avoid the Windows Update service, and so can't guess how many might be affected. The Washington Post has an additional wrinkle: the ad server periodically inspected the ads, but the crooks served different content to the ad network's security process. If there's a security issue with the Player, then the documentation will be at the Adobe Security Center, but right now it looks like "keep your IE updated" is the main takeaway from this issue.
