Earth-sized telescope

Earth-sized telescope: Sorta off-topic, but it's similar to other future imaging and computational photography work being done at Adobe... Roland Piquepaille describes how high-speed connectivity between telescopes in China, Australia and Europe allowed them to act as one, to effectively create a telescope the size of the earth. After centuries of trying mechanical methods to capture more info about our universe, ephemeralization replaces mechanics with communications. I just find it inspiring, that's all.

Just a comment. The telescope mentioned above is actually a radio-telescope. I think it's much easier with them than with optical telescopes.
