Konfabulator goes Flash

Konfabulator goes Flash: Sort of a historical moment here. Konfabulator was one of the first popular desktop widget systems. It was originally an only-on-Macintosh architecture, using system-level AppleScript for interactivity. Later they added Windows through some other scripting mechanism, and joined Yahoo to become the basis of their desktop widget system. Now they're adding support for Adobe Flash Player, which is the fastest way to get high-level cross-environment support. Cool, welcome! I can't pull up the Yahoo Widgets Blog at the moment, but Mike Potter was early on with the news... Niall Kennedy has a short history of widgets (wijstory?)... here's my archive of Konfabulator posts. Potential win: If you make tools in SWF, it now seems easier to reach the Yahoo desktop audience, just as you reach lots of other audiences.
