Where's Waldo?

Where's Waldo? We're talking Heinlein, not Handford... researchers are using tiny body-mountable accelerometers, gyroscopes, and ultrasonic measuring tools to do body-capture. It's much cheaper and more convenient than an optics-based environment. Their SIGGRAPH video focuses on animation production, but this would be a great control for pocket or environmental devices too... suppose your wristwatch or finger-ring could detect your hand's motion and send it to your phone?
