Video stats

Video stats: BBC pulls together Nielsen and Pew stats on online video use... consensus remains on explosive growth. 22% of Americans create digital video, and 14% upload it... 48% of Americans view online video, 15% on any given day... YouTube audience has doubled in the past year, with faster 18% growth in the two months of the Hollywood writers' strike. One thing I'm curious about is how much casual video has an edit cycle... much of YouTube seems to be straight, raw captures... this stat would show the difference between sharing an experience, and sharing an idea.
