JamJar Released on Labs
Tonight we released JamJar on Adobe Labs. JamJar is a demonstration application built with Flex 2 that provides a private and persistent canvas for small groups to easily exchange digital content in order to:
* Plan events
* Exchange ideas
* Manage projects
* Centralize information
* Share files and images

I am excited about this, as I was just looking for a wiki-like application to try out today. However, it would be nice to have a link directly to jamjar in the post. In addition, once I found jamJar page on Adobe, the launch button opens up a blank window with nothing in it. I have FP9.

Hi Nathan,
The JamJar servers were down for several hours this morning, but everything seems to be working well now. Please try to launch JamJar again.
FYI, JamJar should ideally launch in its own window and that is hard to provide in a blog posting. We have several prominent launch links in the JamJar technology page.

What kind of technolgies are you using on serverside?

We're working on a white paper that describes this in a little more detail, but basically the server side is Flex Data Services. For the thumbnails we create when you upload a file, we use the Adobe LiveCycle PDF Generator server.

Is there any components (commercial or free) in JamJar that could be utilized in our own software development?
