So we're Adobe...

An interesting time but life continues normally on the Flex team. No changes in deadlines, no changes in direction, we're still moving forward on Flex 2 and it's looking good so far! An FAQ about the merger and how it affects things can be found at http://www.adobe.com/aboutadobe/acquisition.html.

I've been heads-down working on Flex Enterprise Services but I hope that in the next month I'll be able to get some writings up (no guarantees though). I'd love to give more background on the new Collections API and changes in our RPC services as I think they're useful. So keep an eye out, but be patient as we've got a lot going on :-)

Glad to hear its business as usual on the Flex team. You guys do great work. I'd love to also hear more about Remoting with Flex 2 and ColdFusion. What can you share about that?

I only know what's on labs at this point for what's on the CF side. We're still working out packaging and all that jazz for Remoting.

How about that version of Flex 2 for Mac? Max got us all excited for Flex 2, but...

The framework will work on the Mac because it's Java but Flex Builder will not ship for Mac immediately. We are absolutely going to deliver Flex Builder for Mac but I'm not sure of the timing. Hopefully not too long after we ship the version for Windows but at least a few months after.
