FOTD 25: Studio 8 - Good Clean Family Fun

Well, as you may have guessed by the title, Studio 8 just jumped free from it's crib- and is available now for poking, prodding and general fun up on Macromedia.com. Which means I can stop teasing you about it with these 'feature of the day' postings- and you can start showing us all what can be DONE WITH IT.

You can get all the shiny links and info from here:
http://www.macromedia.com/software/studio/

And don't forget all the new Developer Center content:
http://www.macromedia.com/devnet/

So alas, my 24-post FOTD series also comes to its close, but I'm certainly open to doing more - on a slightly relaxed schedule of course - if there's interest. What do YOU want to know more about in Studio 8 and it's products? Bang out a comment and let me know- and don't stay up too late playing with all the new toys... ;-)

Congratulations on the launch guys! Studio 8 is truly a fantastic release. My only disapointment is FreeHand's ommission and apparent neglect from MM. FreeHand is a stellar application that deserved to be nurtured and developed further... but enough about that ;-).

I'll post an article on my site soon titled "Why Choose Fireworks?" that goes over the advantages I feel it has over its competition. I started writing it long before this release but it will fit right in now that the new and improved version is out.

Cheers!

Thanks for the good words, guys!

Jack- glad to hear you're happy so far. Have fun!

Stephane- I'd love to read your article when it's done- by all means give a ping when it's posted! I've got a pretty broad list of reasons why Fireworks is superior to other graphics apps myself, but I'm very very interested in reading yours in depth. :)

I am still happy with studio 8 apart from that nasty scroll bar bug in flash when you resize and press the arrow of the side bar..,

but find myself lost in Fireworks I never work with this program other them make little edits and like to use it a little more for big things but not can find to much on the web. :(
