Need help debugging script errors?
Thanks to Boaz Englesberg we now have a great new Breeze presentation available in the Director Developer Center on macromedia.com. The article is about using the alertHook and ini files in order to help debug script errors at run-time. Obviously when working within Macromedia Director you have the normal debugging utilities at your disposal, but for those errors occurring at run-time in your projector or Shockwave movie things are a bit different. Have a look:
Using the Director.ini and AlertHook to Troubleshoot Script Errors
Enjoy!

A GDC Week Get-Together
The 2005 Game Developer's Conference (GDC) is this week here in San Francisco and it's proven to be a good enough reason to get a bunch of developers (locals and those visiting town this week) together for a social gathering. On Wednesday night, March 9th, folks are going to informally start gathering at a local watering hole, Swig, starting around 6:00pm and we'll see where the night takes us from there. All comers are welcome, whether you're attending GDC or not, like I said, the conference is just a good excuse to get these rolling as it means a number of non-locals will be in town. Come out and have a bite to eat or share a drink!
Here are a few relevant links:
NOTE: This is not a Macromedia sponsored event in any way, this is simply a loose gathering of interested developers and their friends.
